A truly horrendous weekend…….International breaks are the soul killer for a Football fan. Nothing more soul destroying than watching England play against some half decent team in a qualifier or even worse, a meaningless friendly.

Being a ‘smoggy’ all of my life, my love and my pain is of course supporting Middlesbrough football club.

We are currently 2nd in the Championship and are looking for a return to the Premier League for the first time since the disastrous 2016-17. We won just 5 games that year and should have maybe been promoted several times since then (almost always our own fault and poor performances preventing that).

With Ladder Leagues, it's possible to play along with the current season and that's what we’re going to do. We are taking a snapshot of the league as it currently is and grading teams from this point.

Ladder leagues work by grading teams based on their last 4 performances.

The mighty Boro have not been so mighty recently, managing just 5 points from their last 5 games. As such, the grade for their upcoming game is a C.

Our next game is against Oxford United, currently 21st in the league and fortunately on a worse run of form than us! Video coming tonight as I hope to start a series on this fun game.
